Sport dans la Ville is France’s leading non-profit serving disadvantaged kids through sports and job-readiness training. Over the last five years, FAAFC has been a steadfast sponsor of Sport dans la Ville and has focused more recently on subsidizing their initiative of creating a summer camp and training center in the South of France. This newly renovated center hosts underserved children and youth suffering from isolation, lack of socialization and physical activities. In 2026, FAAFC remains dedicated to sustaining its support for the summer camp site and activities at Domaine Chabotte in Le Poët Laval, Drôme Provençale.
In particular, we will support the creation of the installation of beehives and facilitation of related workshops. This project would offer numerous benefits, both educational and environmental. Observing the organization of bees, understanding their role, and discovering the process of honey production spark curiosity and wonder. It is also a great opportunity to explore values such as cooperation, solidarity, and respect for living beings — values that can be directly applied to life in the group setting of the camp.
In 2026, each camp session will feature an American Day celebrating U.S. culture and the strong friendship between our two countries. Whenever possible, the day will culminate in a World Cup watch party hosted from a major American city. This special event will be organized four times, reaching approximately 400 children and teenagers (ages 8 to 17), along with 80 staff members.
