French-American Aid for Children's 80th Anniversary

French American Aid For Children (FAAFC) held its Spring Fete on April 29th, 2019 at the Loeb Boathouse in Central Park. FAAFC celebrated its 80th anniversary and REACT to FILM its 10th anniversary. Coralie Charriol Paul (Chairperson of Charriol jewelry company) was honored for her work with the nonprofit, REACT to FILM that she co-founded with her husband Dennis Paul. REACT to FILM develops custom designed curriculum that educates and promotes social responsibility through documentary films. To date, over 10,000 students nationwide have benefited from course offerings covering a broad spectrum of social issues.

On April 27, French-American Aid For Children (FAAFC ) held its Spring Gala 2018 at the iconic Rainbow Room. The gala raised funds for a variety of children’s charities in France and the USA. All funds are used to further FAAFC’s mission of “Children Come First.” Francesca Dricot and Wendy C. Weiler served as the event co-chairs, and Tanya Rivero Warren, long time FAAFC supporter and CBS-TV news anchor, served as Master of Ceremonies.

FAAFC 76th Anniversary Bal des Berceaux Gala at the Rainbow Room

On Wednesday, May 1st 2017 more than 200 guests attended the 76th Anniversary of The French-American Aid For Children (FAAFC) 2017 Bal des Berceaux Gala at the Landmarked Rainbow Room. FAAFC presented the ‘Children Come First Award’ to France Parrainages in honor of their 70th Anniversary. The evening began with a cocktail reception at The Gallery located on the beautiful 65th floor of Rockefeller Center. Guests were able to experience panoramic views of the city while mingling and savoring on an array of delicious passed hors d’oeuvres as well as a great selection of beverages…

The French-American Aid For Children (FAAFC) celebrated its 2017 Bal des Berceaux at the Rainbow Room last Wednesday, April 27th. They presented the Children Come First Award to France Parrainages in honor of their 70th Anniversary. Tanya Rivero, host of “Lunch Break” on Wall Street Journal Live, was emcee for the evening. Margarita Somnolet and Lucila Vollbrechthausen were co-chairs of the event. The 76th Bal des Berceaux was under the patronage of Their Excellencies Gérard Araud, Ambassador of France to the United States, Francois Delattre, Ambassador of France to the United Nations, and the Consul General of France in New York, Anne-Claire Legendre, who presented the engraved Baccarat Award to France Parrainages for their exemplary work with vulnerable children.

The French-American Aid For Children (FAAFC) celebrated the 75th Anniversary of the Bal des Berceaux at the Rainbow Room last Friday, April 29th. This year, FAAFC presented The Storefront Academy’s 50th Anniversary with the 2016 Children Come First Award. The evening was a truly beautiful experience as guests were dressed in impeccable long gowns which was appropriate since the event took place at the newly renovated Rainbow Room which is located at 30 Rockefeller Plaza. A lot of the attendees have been supporting the event as they come every year to attend the annual gala.

Bal des Berceaux

“The annual Bal des Berceaux was first held in 1942 and has been FAAFC’s main fundraising event since. Half a million dollars was raised at last year’s Bal des Berceaux. All funds are used to further FAAFC’s mission. The event attracts French and American dignitaries, New York and community leaders from around the world. Each year an international group of debutantes make their introduction into society. This year debutantes are Jasmine Bissete, Eva DiNoia Mantione, Clémence Grosgogeat, Albane Imperiali, Caroline Jeanmaire, Pauline de Montebello and Krista Salmasi….”

2015 Bal des Berceaux

“On May 8th at the Plaza Hotel, the French-American Aid For Children (FAAFC) held its 74th annual Bal des Berceaux. The Bal des Berceaux is an annual fundraiser that raises money for seven children charities in the US and France. FAAFC honored Kips Bay Boys & Girls Club for its 100th Anniversary, a charity directed by Daniel Quintero, that FAAFC has been supporting since 1983. About 40 talented children from this after-school center as well as Gérard Chambre, a renowned French singer and comedian and ardent supporter of work that helps underprivileged children worldwide, performed at the Bal. The Master of Ceremonies was Mark Ellwood, Television broadcast journalist and author…..”
