Bal des Berceaux

On Wednesday, April 26, 2017, FAAFC will celebrate the 2017 Bal des Berceaux at the Rainbow Room in New York City.

Cocktail reception begins at 7:00 p.m., followed by a Dinner Dance with the Lester Lanin Orchestra and a featured performance by the Kips Bay Boys and Girls Club senior dance troupe ‘K-Company’. A Live Auction at 9:30 p.m. will be led by Nicholas Lowry of Swann Galleries.

France Parrainages, an organization sponsored by FAAFC since 1974, will be honored with the Children Come First Award in commemoration of their 70th Anniversary. Our theme of “Building Brighter Futures” is reflected in their dedication and commitment to working with children in France and Internationally to give them the means to grow up in the best possible conditions.

Through sponsorship and development programs, France Parrainages now funds 60 projects each year that help12,000 children in 16 countries in Asia, Africa, Latin America and Eastern Europe. FAAFC specifically supports French mentoring programs and the creation of new centers in the North and Parisian regions.

Holiday Cocktail

On Tuesday, December 6, 2016, we hosted our annual Holiday Cocktail Party at the French Consulate. Fourth-graders from the Storefront Academy sang upbeat carols. Guests generously bid on Silent Auction items donated by companies such as: Air France, Altour, Bagatelle, Bally, Brooks Brothers, Chanel, DTR Modern Galleries, Givenchy, Guerlain, Longchamp, Moet Hennessy, Montblanc, Nespresso, D. Porthault, Tiffany, Travers Fine Jewelry, among many others. Thanks to Vranken-Pommery for the delicious champagne and Mr. Touton Selection for the wine, and thanks to all who came.
